CKC - Seattle
I went to CKC this weekend. My very 1st scrapbooking convention and had a blast! I have never seen Meydenbauer Center so busy. There were a ton of vendors with lots of good shopping, great ideas and inspiration, and so many nice people.
I ran into Lain Eihman who hosts ScrapHappy (also contributing editor for Simple Scrapbook magazine). She is just as nice and fabulous in person as she is on her podcasts.
I spent a total of 3 hours there and got a bunch of great stuff. I got a couple of really cool organization things for my embellishments and tools. A way cool mini album made from a license plate, the Technique Tuesday Far East stamp collection, some embellishments, dies for my Big Shot, vintage pieces, and some tools and chalk inks.
I didn’t get to to take any classes as most were filled up and I didn’t want to be away from little Nika for too long. Next year I’m definatly going to pre-register for the convention and some classes. Lots of fun and I highly recommend it for anyone who scraps or is interested in it.
Also going on right now is the online scrapbooking convention, Scrap-a-Faire. It has all the same elements as a traditional convention but is only online. A very interesting and cool idea. I just registered for it today and will be checking it out. I’ll let you know my thoughts. The faire is going on until November 11th and is available 24 hours a day online.
That’s all for now, chat ya later!
