Show & Tell - Valentine card
I’m so happy with how this Valentine came out. I’ve been trying to figure out what I was going to make for my honey. I went out to visit my adorable horse, Parker and as soon as I got home went straight to crafting. I didn’t realize my horse was so inspiring! She’s such a cutie…I’ll have to go to her for inspiration more often. Here’s my creation, it was really easy and quick to make.
I started out with an 8×8 piece of purple cardstock and folded it in half and cut along the fold. With the 2 remaining pieces I scored and folded in half {these are now your cards}. The white textured cardboard is from my recycling can. When you buy your makeup at the department store it often comes in a box inside that box is usually padded with textured cardboard…that is where this cardboard came from. Next, I took my ribbon and wrapped it around the white cardboard and used glue dots to adhere. On the back of the white cardboard use tape to seal down on the ends of ribbon. For the scallop, I used my Stampin Up scallop punch. If you don’t have a punch you could trace a pattern and cut it out by hand. I adhered the wood heart with a glue dot and added stickles to the dots on the heart. For the red trim underneath the white cardboard, I used my Fiskars {flower} border punch. I love this tool…I just got it yesterday and it’s so great. I just punched along my red cardstock and trimmed it off and glued behind the white cardboard. This card comes together super quick.
